What is the purpose of the Christian?

There are many different ideas of what "Christianity" is. There are many Preachers and Teachers who have come and gone leaving behind what they claim is the "gospel message". There is in most towns in the Western culture of this World a church on almost every corner. Each with it's own name and denominational affiliation. All saying similar yet different "truths". Many who are lost in this World have been confused for some time now about what it really means to be a Christian.

The simplest way it can be broken down is this. In Genesis chapter 3 God saw that everything was broken because of man and he then said that He would fix it. His plan to fix it involved Jesus in the flesh to be the sacrifice for all. As we know, John 3:16 tells us that whoever believes in Him will be saved! Then notice that Jesus gave the disciples and us a command. "Go". Go into all the World and share the gospel message. But why?

It has always been God's plan to bring reconciliation between Himself and His people. The problem now is that many who have been captured by the enemy (Satan and sin) have yet to realize that God has defeated the enemy and the war is over! No longer do any of us have to live in this captivity called sin. So therefore, brothers and sisters in Christ, it is our duty to seek the Spiritual Prisoners of War and let them know that they too can be free from captivity!

Jude 1:22-25
Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-- to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

So brothers and sisters, it is not our place to take on Satan and His demons.! It is not our place to fight the enemy! It is commanded of us to go into enemy territory and tell those imprisoned by their sin that they can now be free because Jesus has claimed the victory over death!

And Jesus said the He would go with us! So rise up Christian! Rise up and stand firm!

Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
